Title: Tommy The Musical
Performed by: Ariel Company Theatre
Time: Friday, 8 June 2007, at 7:45pm
Place: Hawth Theatre, Crawley
Description: The Who’s TOMMY is a Tony-Award winning rock opera that tells of the troubled, yet triumphant journey of a young boy as he moves from a state of trauma to a state of elation and freedom. This electrifying musical explores themes of overcoming tragedy and abusive situations, hope and healing, and the indestructible human spirit. featuring the timeless classic hits 'PINBALL WIZARD 'I'M FREE', 'ACID QUEEN' and 'SENSATION'

Since TOMMY is a rock opera, every version is very different, depending on the visual storytelling of each production. The Who’s TOMMY was made into a film in 1975, which shares a score with the stage version, but tells a very different story, in a more High voltage Rock musical style. Ariel Company Theatre does not recommend the film for previewing to gain an understanding of the stage version. This promises to be an emotional rollercoaster ride both visual and audible. So come on the amazing Journey with us at the Hawth in June.

“Pete Townshend’s tale of a young boy’s journey from pain to triumph is the most electrifying evening of rock ever to play in a theatre. One of the greatest collections of songs in the history of rock”.
