| Description: | Lola Toursunova was born in Moscow, and after studying piano at the Gnessin, Purcell and Guildhall Schools of Music, went on to study singing at the Royal Academy, where she earned a Postgraduate Diploma in 2005. Her first performances as a soloist were at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and on BBC Live, and these have been followed by appearances at many important venues in the UK and abroad. Nadia Giliova is well known to Music Society members from her previous highly-acclaimed performances here, and we are delighted that she is returning for this concert, which will be based on romantic pieces on the theme of ‘Love’. |
