| Description: | Beethoven - Sonata Op.31 No.3 in E flat, The Hunt Schumann - Abegg Variations, Op.1 Debussy - L'isle joyeuse Liszt - Ballade No.2 in B minor Liszt/Wagner - Liebestod Chopin - Ballade No.4 in F minor, Op.52 Alexandra Dariescu has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Royal Philharmonic, the Northern Chamber and the European Union Chamber Orchestra’s. She has given recitals at the Wigmore Hall, the Barbican and at major UK festivals. Alexandra won the CUBS Bank Verbier Festival & Academy Prize and went on to win the GSMD Wigmore Hall Prize and the Rumanian Ambassador’s prize for her outstanding contribution to promoting Rumania’s image in the UK. As a chamber musician she has collaborated with the Sacconi Quartet and with violinist, Alina Ibragimova. Further afield she has given recitals in the USA, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Moldavia and broadcast for BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. |
