Title: Five hundred years of song
Performed by: From The Top
Time: Thursday, 23 June 2005, at 7:30pm
Place: St Peter and St Paul Church, Rustington
Description: From The Top rounds off a successful season of shows with a concert on June 23rd as part of the Rustington Festival. The concert features old favourites and new numbers from their extensive repertoire, which covers five centuries and a wide range of genres. There's sure to be something for everyone, whether you like madrigals or musicals or anything inbetween. A special highlight is a selection of songs from World War II, arranged in gorgeous three-part harmony.

Guest-starring in the concert is young Littlehampton soprano Alexis Twine. Alexis is just 13 years old but is already an accomplished performer; she recently recorded a charity CD in aid of the children of Beslan.

From The Top are Katie Macdonald (soprano), Gil Jaysmith (tenor) and Sarah Jaysmith (alto and pianist). They have recently appeared in the East Preston Festival and the Littlehampton Arts Festival, and collaborated with LMCS for a show in the Windmill Theatre, Littlehampton.
