| Description: | A fantastic way to begin the New Year concert season, having shrugged off the Christmas and New blues and steeling yourself for the overspent credit-card bills - come and let us welcome you to forget it all at St Barts and our first concert of 2008! A rare opportunity to hear and experience Khachachurian's 'Masquerade Suite', this is a Brighton first! Barber's fabulous and very atmospheric work 'Adagio' for strings will use the incredible acoustic of st Barts to the max and bring this work to life. Copland's 'Rodeo Suite' is extremely popular and again, rarely heard outside classic fm, so come and 'yee-hah' with the orchestra! We perform another Beethoven Symphony tonight, the 7th, again, it is difficult to argue which of hs symphonies is most well loved and popular, suffice to say, whatever your preference, this performance will not disappoint! |
