Description: | Performing under the baton of John Langridge, with an orchestra of over twenty musicians (led by Pat Beament) Phoenix Choir's winter concert opens with Haydn's Symphony no:94 in G Major - "The Surprise". Brahms' much loved choral composition - "A German Requiem" is the major work of the evening. A supremely emotive and melodic work sung in its German version, it is appropriately performed in the magnificent setting of Eastbourne's Church of St Saviour and St Peter. |
