Andrew Rees true to his Welsh background began singing at a very early age. He graduated with honours from the Royal Northern College of Music to become a full time teacher but his calling in life was to perform. He studied opera and joined the renowned English National Opera as a principal tenor. Andrew has performed at all the major concert venues in the UK and broadcast live on Radio and TV many times and recently at the prestigious Henley Festival and Classical Glastonbury. Jo Appleby is a classically trained soprano performing regularly at Glynebourne and former member of the opera group Amici Forever, with whom she achieved a platinum album. This year Jo appeared at the O2 Arena in Carmen, and with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Glastonbury Abbey and Canary Wharf. The Sussex Symphony Orchestra will be led Mark Andrew James who has chosen an outstanding repertoire of Christmas music and Carols. The SSO now in its 17th successful year has grown to become one of the country’s leading semi professional orchestras, made up of professional, semi professional and amateur musicians who are all based in Sussex.
