Lunchtime Concert given by the Guitarist Richard Bowen who will present a programme entitled ‘400 Years of Spanish Guitar Music’. Winner in two categories in the Brighton Competitive Music Festival, Richard has played concerts in the Chapel Royal Brighton, as well as local churches and music societies. Prior to resuming his classical studies with the international concert guitarist, Paul Gregory, he spent three years at the Leeds College of Music, studying Jazz Guitar. This enables him to add a new dimension of versatility to his performances. He has worked all over the world in this capacity, and has backed many famous faces including The Drifters, Brian Conley, and Frankie Vaughan. Recently he played classical guitar for Vera Lynn's birthday party. The concert starts at 1.00pm and lasts approximately an hour. Admission is free with a retiring collection. |
