| Description: | Winners of First Prize in the 2010 Royal Over-Seas League Competition and Second Prize in the 5th Trondheim International String Quartet Competition in Norway, the Finzi Quartet met whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music under the guidance of the late Dr. Christopher Gowland. Their début appearances in 2009/10 at the Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room and the Queen Elizabeth Hall delighted critics and audiences alike Works to be performed are: Haydn: Quartet Op. 50 No. 1 in B flat major Bartok: Quartet No. 1 Mendelssohn: Quartet Op. 80 in F minor |
