| Description: | Seafarers UK, the leading maritime charity, is delighted to announce, that as part of their annual programme of concerts, the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines is returning to the Winter Garden Theatre. The popularity and following of the Royal Marines Band is as strong as ever with music appealing to all ages. Ranging from the rousing Corps of Drums display to a patriotic finale, the evening’s entertainment includes popular tunes from shows and films played and sung by these hugely talented musicians. The Royal Marines Band from HMS Colingwood will provide the music and we are delighted to have with us, as a special feature, Vivace!, a choir of local singers based in East Sussex. Seafarers UK is an umbrella charity raising thousands of pounds each year for those in need in the maritime world, which includes the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, the Merchant Navy and the Fishing Fleets. Money raised is given as grants to charities related to the above including the Royal British Legion and Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Forces Help. |
