Phoenix Choir, in concert with Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra, celebrates two great, mid-twentieth century composers at their Winter Concert in Eastbourne. Duruflé's mystical Requiem contrasts with the ever changing moods of Poulenc's Gloria, forming a programme of unusual variety, greatly enhanced by soloists Ansy Boothroyd, Rosemary Clifford and Adrian White. Directed by the outstanding musicianship of Michael Fields in his third concert with Phoenix Choir, the event offers a welcome opportunity to brighten a winter's evening. |
