Description: | Sussex Flutes is an ensemble of five Sussex based Flute players. They were formed at the start of 2009, and have established a reputation for high quality Flute chamber music. Performances by Sussex Flutes usually include the whole range of the Flute family, from Piccolo to Bass Flute, which gives their recitals great variety. They have a rapidly growing repertoire, which ranges from original works for four or five flutes to many of their own arrangements of classics and more popular music. The programme for their concert at Seaford is: Vaughan Williams - The Lark Ascending Erik Satie - Je te Veux Dag Wiren - Serenade for Strings, arr. Bjorn Axelsson Frank Bridge - Cherry Ripe, arr. N.Leclerq Frank Bridge - Spring Song, arr. N. Leclerq Boismortier - Concerto in E minor for 5 flutes Greig - Solveig's Song from Peer Gynt Suite No 2 Anitra's Dance from Peer Gynt Suite No 1 Harry Warren - Chattanooga Choo Choo, arr. M. Orrisss The Concert lasts approximately an hour, has free admission with a retiring collection |
