| Description: | Aanna Colls and the AC Singers Invite you to a very special Concert The programme for the first part of the Concert is: The Cantique de Jean Racine - Gabriel Fauré The Shepherd’s Farewell - Berlioz Adagio non troppo from Oboe Concerto in C. K 314 - Mozart Lux Aeterna - Aanna Colls The main work after the interval is a new edition of the Faure Requiem. The Singers will be accompanied by organ, violin, cello and harp. This edition aims to convey the chamber music qualities of Fauré’s original scoring. It enables chamber and church choirs to convey the rich colours and textures of Fauré’s most famous work. The Concert is in support of the Charity, Prostate Cancer UK and we will be remembering a dear friend and choir member, Chris Walker, who very sadly died of this just over 2 years ago. The programme reflects some of his favourite music and his brother, Peter, will be playing the 2nd movement of Mozart's Oboe Concerto. |
