Description: | With special guest Gregory Moore, tenor. St Mary's is delighted to welcome international concert organist D'Arcy Trinkwon to inaugurate the newly installed blower for our beautiful old Bevington pipe organ. A glorious selection of pieces from Frescobaldi, Zipoli and Bach, to which is added the ethereal tones of Gregorian chant, sung by Gregory Moore, and interpreted for the organ by Tournemire, Langlais, Litaize and Demessieux. All rounded off with the ringing out of Henri Mulet's exhilarating Carillon-Sortie. All proceeds go towards the final fundraising needed to pay for the new blower and we thank D'Arcy and Gregory for the very generous donation of their talents to this cause. |
Tickets: | Tickets are £10 each (£8 for concessions) and include refreshments. You can buy tickets on the door, but if you would like to reserve a seat with a view of the organ please email us specifying the number required and any concessions. |
