Description: | Gabriel Fauré - Requiem Mass, Op. 48 In aid of the School Bus Project - Mobile Education for Refugees Cantio Chorus, a new choir for young distinctive voices in Sussex, bring us their first concert - a performance of Gabriel Fauré's Requiem Mass in memory of the lives lost in the recent refugee crossings from the Middle East and North Africa to Europe. All proceeds go towards the School Bus Project, a Brighton charity that transforms double-decker buses into mobile schools to take learning skills into the refugee camps in Calais and elsewhere in Europe. Cantio Chorus is the brainchild of Your Song Director, Arlene Rolph, who is the choir's vocal coach. The choral director is Gregory Moore, who will accompany the performance on St Mary's superb Bevington organ. |
