Description: | For the first in our free recital series for 2016, we're delighted to welcome American soprano Isabel Gray, accompanied by James Reed on the piano, for a concert of songs by Barber, Gounod, Cherubini, Purcell, Caccini and Mascagni. Isabel, from Philadelphia, USA, is a member of the Choral Scholars, the professional octet of Ss Andrew & Matthew's Episcopal Church, Wilmington, Delaware. In addition to solo appearances with various choruses and prominent church choirs in New Hampshire, she is frequently to be found performing with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and at Carnegie Hall, NYC. Recent solo and ensemble credits include Dubois’ Seven Last Words of Christ, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Yeoman of the Guard, and many of the major oratorios, cantatas, and choral symphonies. She is a former student of Richard Conrad and currently studies with David Christopher. |
