Description: | Lancing-based choir, The Boundstone Chorus are making the final preparations for their performance of Alexander L’Estrange’s “Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose”. The Boundstone Chorus will be joined for this performance by the Sompting Village Primary School choir, narrator Charlie Olsen and the 'Call Me Al' Quintet led by the composer. Ahoy! is an uplifting celebration of King Henry VIII's famous warship, the Mary Rose. Fusing the music of Tudor times with an array of catchy sea shanties, prepare to be taken on a whirlwind journey across the oceans - and the centuries - in this glorious celebration of English maritime history. |
