| Description: | The Brighton Singers chamber choir is conducted by Stuart Hutchinson with organ accompaniment by Nicholas Houghton. The programme comprises a variety of works both acapella and with organ. Renaissance and Baroque items include Palestrina’s motets Hodie Christus Natus Est and Fuit Homo missus a Deo, Scheidt’s In Dulci Jubilo , Jacob Handl’s Ecce Concipies and Mozart’s Sancta Maria, Mater Die. Contemporary composers are represented by Chilcott’s magnificent Canticles of Light, plus music by Bax and Mathias. Enjoy mulled wine and mince pies during the interval. |
