They are still sung in churches and in concert halls, absorbed into living traditions and the classical canon. We want you to get to know these unassuming tunes better. Come and listen and sing along too! We'll perform plainsongs and polyphony by composers like Guillaume Dufay, Luther's own versions, and gorgeous Scandinavian folk hymns, based on Luther's tunes but enriched with startling unexpected chromatics. You can join in on refrains or sing some famous hymns with us. You'll see the humble hymn in a different light afterwards!" |
