Description: | The programme will feature all three choirs formed by BREMF in the last several years – the BREMF Consort of Voices, the BREMF Singers and the BREMF Community Choir. This unique European musical journey through time will include the earliest known 10th-century polyphony, plus a kaleidoscope of works by Léonin, Machaut, Dufay, Josquin, Sheppard, Palestrina, G Gabrieli, D Lobo, Schütz and Ravenscroft. The music of J.S. Bach will be represented by the well known motet Jesu, meine Freude. There will also be anonymous music from 12th-century Europe and 13th-century Lewes. |
