| Description: | Programme Beethoven Quartet op 18 no 4 in C minor, and Sibelius Quartet op 56 ‘Voces Intimae’. The London based Hammig String Quartet was first formed in 1989. Over the years they have given concerts in many venues in England and Wales, and also in Germany. They are frequent performers at St George’s Beckenham, and were the inaugural Artists in Residence at St John’s Catford for the 2017-18 season. They have recently completed a performance cycle, over several years, of all Shostakovich’s String Quartets. They also perform at weddings and other functions, and coach adult amateurs on chamber music courses and workshop. |
