Johan de Cock was born in Namibia in 1975 and studied in South Africa, before emigrating to the UK in 2000. His UK teachers include Angela Lear, Frederick Stocken and Graham Fitch, and he em-braces a broad range of musical styles including Classical, Jazz and Tango. As a soloist and accompanist, he has per-formed concerts across South Africa, Devon, London and Sussex and has been a resident of Saltdean since 2014. He currently divides his time between teaching, performing, accompanying, composing and organising concerts. Johan is passionate advocate of lesser-known repertoire and has premiered numerous works by living composers from all over the world. |
