Chantry Quire is performing its annual Passiontide Meditation at Boxgrove Priory, directed by Peter Allwood and accompanied by Chantry Strings. The programme features the choral version of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, interspersed with Marian motets by Parsons, Victoria, Guerrero and Palestrina, and Passiontide readings. The concert, sponsored by Goodwood, is in aid of the Aldingbourne Trust (https://www.aldingbournetrust.org) which provides support to people with learning difficulties and/or autism. |
