| Description: | Faronel is an early music trio that performs a wide range of medieval and renaissance music for instruments and voices drawn from their research into original source material. Their programme for this concert features a whirlwind tour through some 500 years of music: from the earliest songs in the English language, to secular and sacred medieval music drawn from across Europe and finishing with Renaissance works sourced from the musicians at the court of Henry VIII. There will also be a special guest appearance from the Mayfield Festival’s Artistic Director, Jeremy Summerly, who will be revealing his skill as an early music wind player by joining Faronel in their performance of Renaissance consort works. |
