Description:	The Australian pianist, Joseph Havlat, returns to Mayfield to present an atmospheric programme of music by Robert Schumann, comprising Scenes From Childhood, Night Pieces and Ghost Variations. The emotionally-creative sound-world of Schumann is augmented by the music of Michael Finnissy, who celebrates his 80th birthday in 2026, and Finnissy’s former pupil, the Canadian composer Cassandra Miller. Joseph Havlat is highly regarded for his exceptional virtuosity, his prowess as a leading interpreter of contemporary music, his versatility as a composer and chamber musician, and his ability to perform a wide range of repertoire with both technical brilliance and deep sensitivity.
